Hydrating Rosemary hair rinse 🌿

Hello everyone 🙋. If you want to find out how I transformed my hair from

then keep reading.

Recently I’ve been so busy and haven’t had the time to even comb my hair  (yikes horrible I know), but if you have the same hair texture as I do you might understand how hard it is to style your hair everyday .

So what can you do when your hair is dry and almost matted up? the answer is conditioner first. Use this with some oil to detangle your hair gently and start with your fingers before using a comb.

Now let’s get down to business 🤓.

Rosemary 💚💚.  Yes I absolutely love the smell of this herb. It is rich with antibacterial, anti inflammatory, anti-fungal, and antiseptic properties. It stimulates the scalp and hair follicles to aid growth. It also fights premature graying and science shows that it helps with memory loss. So technically your hair will smell heavenly and it’ll grow. win win 😃. Plus It Makes Food Taste Great.

The preparation 🌿

You will need some dry rosemary sprigs, a bowl, a sieve, a spray bottle and a small pot.

First get some rosemary sprigs. This is what it looks like.

For this rinse I used two (2) sprigs.

Wash them

Bring water to the boil in the small pot ( not too much water, half full should do)

Put the clean rosemary sprigs into the boiling water and cover for 6 – 10 minutes

Place the sieve in the bowl, pour the contents into the sieve and strain.

Let it sit on the side to cool down until it is no longer hot. After it has cooled down, you can pour some out into a spray bottle and preserve in the fridge for your next use. This is what it looks like when it’s contents have been extracted .

Then after washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner , gently pour this all over your hair and massage in . Then place a shower cap over your head .

After 3 – 5 minutes, take off the shower cap and rinse your hair with lukewarm water or if you can tolerate cold water, use that instead. You could also leave it in and not rinse out (this is for those who like the smell of rosemary)

I Then twisted my hair in small sections to aid with definition and to stretch out my hair while air drying.

When it was completely dry, I sprayed some olive oil

onto my palms, rubbed it together and unraveled the twist. This is the result

There you have it!

Nice, moisturized, healthy hair 😃.
