How to maintain straightened hair

The key to making your straightened hair last longer is to not use products that have water, eg; liquid leave in conditioner.

Hello people πŸ‘‹, how are you doing!?

SO i straightened my hair on the 24th of January, 2017 and i am IN LOVE with the volume and length.

So the plan is to have it straight for at least 2 weeks (yes that’s right, no washing, eek, lol). But honestly, this doesn’t bother me because when i used to wear weaves for a whole month i wouldn’t wash it πŸ˜‚.

Alright, to the topic;

While i want my hair to stay silky soft, i still have to moisturize my hair and scalp.

The products i use.

  • ORS incredibly rich oil moisturizing hair lotion: i love this product because it definitely lives up to its expectations. It leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturised.

  • My hair growth oil mix: this consists of;

I mixed all these products together in my jojoba oil bottle because that was almost finished. I added 20 drops of both the peppermint and rosemary oil into the jojoba oil which was quarter full in the bottle, and because castor oil is pretty thick, i added not so much, most likely 2 to 3 spoons if i should guess.

I put the bottle in a bowl of boiling water for it to heat up before using it to massage my scalp. I like to focus more on my edges. But this mix sure does make my hair smell great, grows my hair (by stimulating blood flow to your scalp) and kind-of improves my mood.

  • To sleep: i put my hair in a pony tail and wrap it with my ORS satin head wrap. and in the morning i style however i want to.
