Apple cider vinegar hair rinse.

Hey people,

I decided to try the famous apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair because of all the talk about how good it is for your hair. Well, today i will let you know my experience with this rinse.

So first off, a little facts about apple cider vinegar.

  1. It helps balance the pH of your hair.
  2. It is a good conditioner.
  3. It is cheap and can be found in the markets and shops.
  4. It can be used to treat dandruff, itchy scalp, hair loss and head lice.
  5. Stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss
  6. Prevents split ends and breakage.

The one i will be using is the popular ‘Bragg organic raw ~ unfiltered apple cider vinegar ~ with the mother’.Β

How to use.

  • In a bottle or bowl, i mixed 2 table spoons of ACV and mixed it with 16Oz (ounce) of water. Keep ready for use.
  • After washing your hair with shampoo, pour the mix on your hair and massage it onto your scalp. I left it in for 3 to 4 minutes and then rinsed out.
  • Then i moisturised my hair as usual and let it air dry.
  • This can be done once or twice a week.Β

After using this rinse, my scalp felt no different to be honest, but my hair did feel squeaky clean. It defined my curls. Didn’t reduce frizz but i don’t really care about frizzy hair that much. I will definitely continue to use this and see how my hair improves.Β

Let me know if you will try this rinse or have tried it.

I hope this helps.

  1. I haven’t used apple cider vinegar before, I just tried the white vinegar with water, it worked as a clarifying shampoo really cleaned out the build up, I can’t say it left my hair moisturised but it definitely was squeaky clean.

  2. Great post! I have to try it out I never used Apple cider.
Did you know that when you mixed white vinegar in your shampoo it makes you hair very soft?
It’s something that a hairstylist shared with me. That’s the only way I’ve used it ever since.
ThnQ so much for sharing dear!

  3. I’ve used ACV quite a bit for the last few weeks and I find my hair absorbs products better after using it and my hair doesn’t have that horrible stripped feeling which I hate!

  4. I’ve experienced this too. Many say it makes your hair so soft. It didn’t do that for me. I just know it’s good after using some shampoo or experiencing harsh elements as it does help bring the hair back to its normal ph about a 4.5 basic. Certain products or chemicals in anything from a shampoo to a relaxer can just throw the ph off. I know some relaxers can be as high as a brutal ph of 14! When I was in beauty school we experimented and found they can actually melt soda cans, It was crazy! Great read. I totally agree with you 😊
