My favourite herbal teas ๐Ÿต

Hello friends ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I love trying out new things, new foods, places and anything to help maintain my well-being.

I’ve always been a fan of the camomile tea but I’ve introduced two more herbal teas to my life.

Here are my 3 favourite herbal teas;

They all have natural ingredients so it’s full of the good stuff ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’•.

Pure Camomile๐ŸŒผ

This tea makes me feel so relaxed and helps me sleep. It’s a long time favourite ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Pure Peppermint๐ŸŒฟ

This is my go to Tea for when I need a kick. It gets me going and it’s so tingly lol. It’s great to just inhale the steam while it’s brewing. It has a strong taste at first, but with every sip it gets better.

Lemon Trio๐Ÿ‹

This is my new favourite ๐Ÿ’•. It makes me feel good. It tastes wonderful. Tastes and smells of lemon. If you’ve ever smelt lemon grass you’ll love this tea. It’s just divine.
I like to have one tea bag a day of each brand of tea.

I also like to brew my tea for up to 5 – 7 minutes for a stronger taste.

Let me know if you have tried any of these teas and drop your suggestions of what other herbal tea you think I should try.

Have a lovely day everyone ๐Ÿ’š.

Review of the Zerreau towel off shampoo.

                        Hello everyone.

I’m back with another product review and this time it isย the “Zerreau towel off shampoo foam“.

This product claims to clean and refreshes your hair without water. It says it uses zero water, leaves hair clean and fresh, removes oil and odours, removes product build up, infused with strawberry scent, leaves no streaks or residues, fast and easy to use, and its suitable for all hair types.

Now this is very interesting because i haven’t even tried dry shampoo and then a water-less shampoo comes along. I was a bit hesitant to try it at first but then i became pretty curious to find out how this works.

So lets see how this product works.

Ok so i decided to try this out on my current hairstyle which is box braids. My hair is in need of a good wash lol, and i am going to be super busy today, so i cant wash it now.ย

                        The “washing” process.

                        • I parted my hair so i could work in sections.

                        wp-1489751596910.jpg

                        • Using the pump, i dispensed out a little amount of the product directly onto my scalp.ย

                        wp-1489751388213.jpg

                        • I then massaged it gently onto my hair and whilst it was still soapy, i used an old cotton t-shirt. I used this instead of a towel because using a towel on my type 4 Afro hair is the last thing i want to do and it will snag my hair.
                        • I then repeated this process throughout the rest of my hair.

                        Pros.

                        1. You don’t need to get your hair drenched in water.
                        2. Can be used on the go as it is a 70 ml bottle.
                        3. It is probably ideal for campers, people going to music festivals, or for styles like braids, dreadlocks etc.
                        4. It hasย 2 different scents; strawberry and apple. I love strawberries and that’s why i used the strawberry infused shampoo.
                        5. It can be used on Afro hair.
                        6. It can be used for people who wear wigs and need to quickly clean their hair.
                        7. It left my hair smelling fruity and soft.
                        8. It doesn’t feel greasy. It feels like it did clean my hair.

My final verdict of this product is that it is very handy and i do recommend that you give it a try too. It really does clean your hair but honestly, it felt weird to “wash” my hair without water. I’ll most likely use this product when ever i have a protective style in and i cant be bothered to wash it.

I’ll stick to using regular shampoo for now for my wash day routine, mainly because i really love that feeling of water running through my hair. Its just really good.

                        Get itย hereย

I hope you found this useful.

                        How to maintain healthy skin

                        Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ people ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

This is the second part to my daytime skin care routine. So if you haven’t checked it out clickย here

Ok so I thought it would be best to split this topic into 2 posts so you don’t get bored reading just one LONG article ๐Ÿ˜….

Here i will be talking about the various aspects of having great skin.

                        • Water: this is the BEST thing to consume when it comes to personal well-being. You will see a difference in your skin hair and nails when you drink a lot of water.

                        • Fizzy drinks: Ok so it’s most likely been 2 years now since I stopped drinking Coca-Cola. And it has been one of my best decisions ever. Even cutting out fanta or sprite, basically any soft drink, has shown on my skin. I no longer get any breakouts unless it’s that time of the month.ย

                        • Vegetables: I started eating more vegetables and fruits to cleanse my system of any impurities that would reflect badly on my skin. Vegetables are your friends ๐Ÿ˜†.ย

                        My Daytime skin care routine.

                        Hello people ๐Ÿ‘‹

Hope you all are having a great eventful week.ย

I just thought i’d share what sticking to a routine can do for you. Whether it be a morning or night or work routine, if you maintain what works for you, you wont regret it.ย

Throughout my teenage years i never really had acne, maybe i would occasionally get 1 or 2 bumps in a month, but that was it.ย

Then it hit like a train from no where when i turned 22. My face was covered in soooo many spots and they were all red and everywhere, ahhh it was a depressing moment for me ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

                        IMG_0355_sRGB

I started wearing makeup ๐Ÿ‘ป, looking for all sorts of acne removal products, trying all sorts of “natural” remedies on my face. But sadly, nothing could hide it or take it away ๐Ÿ˜”.ย

Maintaining moisture to promote healthy hair ft relaxed hair.

You can definitely grow long relaxed hair, but because its been chemically processed, it needs a lot of care. Also, you don’t need to trim your ends every month. Only trim when its necessary. I trim my hair once a year and it works for me. Find out what works for you.

                        Hello beautiful people ๐Ÿ‘‹

So i decided to do a post on how to take care of your relaxed hair. Yes i know i don’t have relaxed hair right now, but i did once and it was thick and healthy. I’ll talk about my hair journey in another post.

To maintain your hair i recommend stretching your relaxer to maybe every 2 to 3 months, and when you do relax your hair, just focus on the new growth to avoid further damage to the already processed hair.

Today i’ll be using my gorgeous friend Jennifer as she has relaxed hair.
